Ortho FAQs.

What is the dose?

Skin dose ranges from 0.21 mGy to 1.41 mGy depending on the size of the anatomy being imaged.

Is the Adaptix Ortho350 system the same as CT?
The Adaptix Ortho350 system is not the same as a CT scanner. Our system performs a scan in just 15 seconds, during which it captures a series of low-dose X-rays from multiple angles. Unlike a standard X-ray that produces a single 2D image, the Adaptix Ortho350 generates a stack of high-quality, CT-like images.
While it doesn’t provide a full volumetric dataset that can be reformatted or rotated in every plane like a traditional CT, it delivers detailed, slice-by-slice imaging, offering significantly more diagnostic information than a standard 2D X-ray at a much lower dose.
Where can I use the Adaptix Ortho350 system?
The Adaptix Ortho350 system can be used for imaging both the upper and lower extremities, including the hand, wrist, elbow, toes, foot, ankle, and knee. It is also capable of capturing weight-bearing images, providing valuable diagnostic insights.
The system is suitable for use in a variety of clinical settings such as sports medicine clinics, emergency departments, urgent care centers, and secondary care clinics.
