Adaptix Announces First US Installation of Breakthrough Adaptix Ortho350 Imaging Device at Leading Orthopedic Center.
Medical imaging innovator Adaptix Ltd (Adaptix) has today announced its first US clinical installation of its revolutionary Adaptix Ortho350 imaging system at The Hand to Shoulder Center in South Florida led by world renowned hand and upper limb surgeon, Dr Alejandro Badia MD.
Dr Badia becomes the first clinical user in the US of the Adaptix Ortho350 imaging system, an advanced 3D X-ray imaging system that is redefining how orthopedic injuries and conditions are diagnosed. The Adaptix Ortho350 system provides orthopedic surgeons with more detailed, higher-resolution 3D images for better visibility into tissues and bone structures at a significantly lower radiation dose and cost than conventional CT, giving clinicians unprecedented clarity at the point of care.
This landmark installation signals a major step forward in orthopedic imaging, bringing CT-like 3D detail directly into the clinic, without the delays, cost and radiation burden associated with traditional imaging technologies.
“We have already seen a significant impact with this new technology,” said Dr Badia. “On the very first day, I was able to rule out a hook of hamate fracture using the technology in the sagittal plane, that would normally have required a CT scan. Having this level of detail immediately, in the clinic, is a game changer. It allows us to make faster, more confident decisions and dramatically improves the experience for our patients.”
The Adaptix Ortho350 uses low dose tomosynthesis to generate detailed 3D images of extremities, enabling orthopedic specialists to visualize complex anatomy and subtle injuries with far greater precision.
Sarah Small, Chief Executive Officer at Adaptix, said: “Partnering with Dr Badia, one of the most respected leaders in hand and upper limb surgery, marks a defining moment for Adaptix. Seeing our technology in action at The Hand to Shoulder Center and witnessing the immediate clinical benefits reinforces our belief that 3D imaging should be accessible, affordable and available right where the patients are treated. This first US installation is just the beginning. We are excited to bring a new standard of 3D imaging to orthopedic practices across the country & beyond.”
